Jolon (HO-LONE) Station Band is a Roots/Americana band formed on the Central Coast in 2017. The band consists of Bradly Coats (Guitar, Bass, Mandolin, Vocals), Chris Mariscol (guitar, lap steel, vocals) and Paul Hanna (Guitar, Banjo, Vocals). We are focused on writing, performing and recording original music that encompasses vocal harmonies and musicianship that best honors the song. Drawing on influences from rock n' roll, classic country, gospel, bluegrass and traditional folk. Our live shows draw from a list of covers by such artists as Billy Joe Shaver, Merle Haggard, Jerry Jeff Walker, Waylon Jennings and Tom Petty.
Jolon Station got their name from an old stagecoach station on a road that would later become known as JOLON rd. This was known as a major trading route between Monterey and San Luis Obispo county.
Currently the band is actively recording and performing original music, with a number of their songs being credited to their late friend, Scott Sturtevant, aka Slim the Drifter. JSB is carving out a unique sound of roots rock, outlaw country and gospel with a funky groove.
